Dr Tahir Kamal is a highly distinguished Consultant Dermatologist, Dermatologic Surgeon, Aesthetic Physician, Academic Leader, and Head of Department with more than three decades of extensive experience in clinical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, aesthetic medicine, teaching, and research.
He is currently serving as Head of the Department of Dermatology and Associate Professor at Al Aleem Medical College Lahore, where he plays a pivotal role in academic leadership, postgraduate training, curriculum development, and clinical governance. Education and Professional Qualifications
Dr Tahir Kamal completed his MBBS from King Edward Medical College Lahore in 1991. He later pursued postgraduate specialization in dermatology in the United Kingdom and earned the Diploma in Dermatological Sciences from Cardiff UK in 1997 with distinction and Gold Medal.
He achieved Fellowship in Dermatology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2002, successfully qualifying in the first attempt. His qualifications represent strong foundations in both British and Pakistani dermatology training systems.

Dr Tahir Kamal is presently working as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology at Al Aleem Medical College Lahore. He has also served in senior administrative and clinical roles at Lahore General Hospital, including Principal Medical Officer and Additional Principal Medical Officer in the Department of Dermatology. Dr Tahir Kamal has been actively involved in teaching and training postgraduate dermatology residents since 2005. He regularly supervises and mentors FCPS, MD, and MCPS trainees during ward rounds, outpatient clinics, procedural sessions, and academic activities.
He is a registered supervisor and examiner in dermatology with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and is also affiliated with the University of Health Sciences Lahore for postgraduate clinical training programs.
